A talk by George Stear
Did you know Wellington Bombers were made in Byley?
No!…..then come along to Winsford History Society’s next meeting in October when George will relate the fascinating tale of the development of the factory in Byley. Over 11,400 Wellington bombers were built between 1939 and 1944.
And there’s a link to Winsford, components for the bombers were made in Bradbury’s repurposed clothing factory in Siddorn St.
